[Saunders 1950] Herbaceous Hybrid: This rare little beauty is one of Saunder's quad hybrids, the result of crossing two of his hybrid seedlings, P. lactiflora x P. officinalis with P. mlokosewitchii x P. macrophylla. The single flowers are a lovely, soft yellow tinged pinkish-red at the petal base. Plants are dwarf in stature and bloom freely. A genetic powerhouse of great interest to hybridizers. Pollen fertile and will set seed occasionally. Registered by David Reath and difficult to find. Blooms very early.
