[Brand 1913]  Lactiflora:  Large, fully double flowers are bright crimson with a light midrib on the outer petals. The center of the flower is incurved and conceals a few bright gold stamens. Nice plant habit with good foliage and strong stems. This variety has unusually good form for a red peony, with clear and lively color. No fragrance, but very floriferous! A long time favorite. Blooms midseason.
