[Anderson 1999]  Itoh: Semi-double to double flowers open dark, dusty rose pink accented with burgundy flares. As blossoms mature the petals lighten to pale apricot and then to cream on the outer edges while holding the darker rose tints in the center as shown in the accompanying photographs.  Plants are vigorous with superior foliage and disease resistance. Generous bloom. An APS Gold Medal winner and an Award of Landscape Merit selection. Blooms midseason.
