[Smith/Krekler 1953]  Lactiflora: Lustrous, dark cranberry red, semi-double to double flowers are interspersed with golden stamens.  Thick, sturdy stems and lush green foliage make this a good landscape specimen. The exceptional color quality of this variety makes it a stand-out in both the garden and vase. Rarely available. Blooms late midseason.
