[Laning/Hollingsworth 2012] Herbaceous Hybrid: Captivating single flowers open wide to display rounded blush petals accented with raspberry flares. Originally selected from Chris Laning's seedling fields in Kalamazoo, Michigan and thought to be one of Saunders' quad hybrid F2 generation seed parents crossed with SILVER DAWN F3 pollen.  Presumed tetraploid and reported to be easily fertile. Plants are vigorous, quick to increase, and stand well against spring storms unaided by support. In addition to its hybridizing interest, this is also an exceptional landscape variety. Blooms early to early midseason.
