[Brand 1920]  Lactiflora:  Double flowers are an unusual, clear crimson color that is distinct from other peonies. Upon opening, blossoms have a ring of broad, round guard petals surrounding a large central globe of petals with a thin silver edge that adds distinction. Plants are tall and floriferous with sturdy stems and  handsome light green foliage. An excellent cut-flower. Blooms midseason.
