[Saunders 1953]  Herbaceous Hybrid: Very large, dark pink, semi-double flowers have near perfect form. The strongly cupped petals form a closed ball that slightly opens at warmer temperatures. Very strong stems so no staking is required. An outstanding cultivar for both the landscape and vase. Awarded the APS Gold Medal and an Award of Landscape Merit selection. Highly recommended! Blooms early.
