[White/Wild & Son 1954] Herbaceous Hybrid: Large single flowers are soft, butter yellow with broad, rounded petals that surround a massive mound of dark yellow stamens in the center. This early flowering peony is the only seedling derived from more than 4,000 crosses between MONS. JULES ELIE and the species P. mlokosewitchii. Attractive dark green foliage is vigorous and full on compact plants. Sidebuds, which are unusual in hybrid peonies, ensure a long flowering season. This rare hybrid has useable fertility and is coveted by hybridizers. Wonderful fragrance makes us love it even more! Blooms early.
