[Tischler 2003]  Herbaceous Hybrid: Selected by Minnesota peony hybridizer R. W. Tischler as his namesake, this spectacular, black-red hybrid has large flowers that are carried above attractive foliage on good stems. Young plants often bloom with Japanese form changing to full, bomb-style double flowers once established. Extremely rare and much sought after. Blooms early midseason.
