[Varner 1981] Lactiflora: Large, deep red flowers are fully double balls with excellent substance.  Shrubs are vigorous and reliable, delivering an annual show of vibrant blossoms carried on strong stems.  Lovely in the landscape and one of our favorite cut flowers. Fully transformed flowers are fully packed with petals. No stamens or fragrance. Rarely offered. Blooms midseason.
