[Neely 1913]  Lactiflora:  Lovely Japanese-style flowers have pure white guard petals around a mass of deeply notched and fringed staminodes that open pale yellow and fade to white. White tipped carpels nestle in the center. The light, feathery look of this peony adds great distinction. Flowers are carried on tall, stately stems. Generous bloom provides plenty of cutting stems! Blooms late midseason.
